Pray That Abortion Up To Birth Is Not Decriminalised

The Christian Institute Reports: Very soon, MPs will vote on whether to give pregnant women the unconditional freedom to kill their babies up to birth. Pro-abortion MPs led by Labour’s Dame Diana Johnson are seeking to hijack the Government’s Criminal Justice Bill. Her amendment covers England and Wales. Abortion is wrong – a clear breach of the Sixth Commandment. Obtaining one is already easy in the UK, but this crosses a new moral Rubicon and will inevitably lead to full decriminalisation of abortion.

If you legalise abortion up to birth for women, it’s a short step to legalising it for doctors too. A separate pro-life amendment has been tabled by Caroline Ansell MP to reduce the abortion limit to 22 weeks. The current 24-week limit was set in 1990. Advances in neonatal medicine mean very premature babies are now far more likely to survive. Please pray: that God would be merciful and spare England and Wales from the decriminalisation of abortion; that the pro-life amendment is strongly supported.
